Peregrine Securities’s Hedge Funds Day is regarded as a key fixture in the calendars of hedge fund industry participants, a valuable day spent engaging with current and prospective investors, managers and industry peers, within a comfortably professional and secure environment.

Hosted by the Prime Services division of Peregrine Securities, the event is in its 4th consecutive year, attracting both new and familiar faces from the local and international hedge fund arena. The 2010 event brought together 80 qualified investors and 13 different hedge funds at the luxurious Mount Nelson Hotel, situated in central Cape Town.

The primary focus of the event is the Capital Introduction Programme, a “closed stream” for qualified investors who have registered with Peregrine. Thirteen of the country’s foremost hedge fund managers in turn present to the audience of investors. Audience members have the opportunity to address questions to the presenter, either directly or anonymously.

A new feature in the 2011 event is the “Open Stream”, an opportunity to learn more about the services offered to hedge funds such as administration, legal, operational services, trading and information technology. This stream is open to anyone currently involved in, or prospecting, the hedge fund industry. As places are limited registration is essential.
